Acaba de terminar a 72° edição do Emmy Awards, premiação que celebra as melhores produções feitas para TV. Nesse ano, devido à pandemia do coronavírus, a cerimônia foi feita quase que feita 100% de forma online com os indicados aparecendo na tela em uma transmissão ao vivo.
O apresentador do evento foi o humorista Jimmy Kimmel que não poupou sua ironia e fez piadas sobre a pandemia e trolou a audiência dando a entender que tinha uma plateia no local. Além do habitual humor na apresentação, muitos artistas usaram seus momentos para fazer apelos por votos na próxima eleição presidencial norte-americana e houve uma celebração pela diversidade nas produções indicadas.
